Golf Balls I Play

A lot of people are very particular about the ball they play golf with. Not me. I've never been that way. When people ask me what kinda ball I play with my answer is "Wifl". They say "Whiffle"? Well, "Wifl - Whatever I Found Last." Some people ask "Don't you ever play with a new ball?" And my answer is "Not really. They're hard to find". I don't much care for yellow balls, but I found these and have been using them to get rid of them. Well, I've played the last two rounds with them and I still have'em. I'll play golf with them today. Most of my balls have a scuff or two on them, but once thay get to bad I throw them in the shag bag. I usually give my golf balls the "Bounce Test". I drop two on the basement floor and whichever one bounces the highest, that's the one I play with. I'll also play with pink golf balls I find. My only fear is that one day I'll finally make a hole in one, and it will be with a pink ball. I'm gonna love having that in my little trophy or plaque I buy myself.

Using the yellow balls and not losing them reminds me of my biggest poker 'tell' and superstition. I used to throw the filthy, bent coins in the pot to get rid of them, but they always came right back. Realizing that, I now I throw them in for good luck figuring they'll come right back to me.

I practiced in the back yard a couple of nights ago with some real Whiffles. It was fun: Erin and Jill agreed to be targets.

Ha! Doing your share for the recycling effort, BB. And I hope you get a hole in one for your trophy case. (And yes, I hope it's with a pink ball. Just think of it as Jill's favorite color).
