The Hot Flower bloomed on Oaks Day. The Iris hasn't opened yet, but close. Do I look like I had a Derby Winner? Well, I didn't. Does anybody know anyone who had Mine that Bird? Unbelievable. Nobody could bet on that horse. The only money put on that horse was bet on Calvin Borel, not the horse. It was a very exciting Derby, but I didn't win any money and Mine That Bird tore up all my superfecta and Trifecta Tickets. Only 364 more days until Derby Day!

Are these moss roses? I have oodles of moss roses in pots on my deck. They really look good when the sun is hot. Maybe that is why they are called "hot flowers." Sorry you can't borrow my hat, a lady named Elizabeth in France wants it next.
Peggy, in Tabler parlance, "hot" = burgled. They're actually primrose. I won't tell you why they are called hot flowers because I don't want my momma to go to jail.
I believe your Mom fits into a category of flower lovers and there is an unwritten law that flower lovers may take any hot flower they like, just don't leave a noticeable hole; just like on the golf course. Mark, you may find some beautiful gardens on my blog list. One in France, Canada and UK. Check em out.
