Round 42 for the year, and it was HOT!

I'm not putting a picture with this post today. Couldn't find one to adequately show how hot it was. I even rode a cart and it was really hot. This heat just keeps golf from being fun. Well, anyway, I shot a 45 - 41 = 85 today. I didn't play to bad, but my putting was terrible. I missed a lot of short putts, 3-4 feet. When you're that close, you expect to make it. I missed so bad I couldn't even lip out any putts. I did make a couple of nice 10 - 15 foot breaking putts, but the short ones killed my game. My chipping wasn't great, but when I did chip one up close, I couldn't convert it by making the putt! Let's hope this heat wave breaks soon. I'm not asking for much, just keep the temperature below 90 degrees!
ADDENDUM: We played at Iroquois GC. My team did win the team bet so I won $6. We were the first group off, played in 3 and half hours. I sat in the clubhouse for 45 minutes waiting for the next group, right behind us, to finish. I finally said "That's enough, I'm leaving". So I didn't find out who won until I got a call around 5:00 p.m. They finished one hour after we did. Now that's too slow with no one in front of you.
