Let's see, what'd I do today.........?

I didn't post anything yesterday. Didn't have a post for today. Really, I did do something. Today I paid a few bills, went over to Indiana to see my Mother. Mary Lynn and I went for a walk (found 31 cents). I picked 2 tomatoes from the garden. Fed the birds twice. Killed two mosquitoes. No need to thank me, glad to do it. Watered some flowers. Took out the recycling bin. Stopped at Walgreens and picked up photos. Made a few phone calls concerning upcoming golf trip to Dale Hollow. Read for, oh, a little over an hour. Helped fold a load of clothes. Cleaned out my squirrel water boarding tub. Not to mention the three meals I fixed and ate. Pulled a few weeds from the rocks around front steps. Recharged the camera batteries. Many of you may ask how in the world I found enough time in one day to get all of this done. Life's not easy when you're retired.

Not so bad golf on Tuesday

I played my Tuesday golf at Shawnee GC today. I found out my back nine last week won me $15! I had a pretty good round this week, too, so I might win a little money next week. We played the back nine first. I shot a 40 - 38 = 78. My handicap dropped from a 14 to a 12 this week, so I don't know if either nine will win any money, but my 18 hole score might win. My 12 handicap nets me down to a 66. I've got a feelin' I better win this week because my handicap will drop further and it may be a while before I'll have enough handicap to be competitive again!

Jillian - who knows what she'll do next....

Jill doesn't like to have her picture taken. When you get out the camera, she'll run away or cover her face. Sometimes she just let's you take the picture but makes a funny face.

Mary Lynn, Judy, Erin and Jill were in the "Dora" tent and I got the camera out for a picture. Jill took off out the back flap (Their secret Door) so she wouldn't get her picture taken. I counted to three to snap the picture, and on three she threw open the flap to be in the picture. You never know with Jill.

Playing Bad Golf with a few friends....

I played Bad Golf Round 25 for the year today at Quail Chase GC. And yes, I played Bad. I shot a 45 -48 + 93 on the West - East Courses. Mark Wagner shot a 44 -46 + 90, also Bad. Greg Lynn shot a 106 and his Son, Austin, shot a 96. Mark and I gave them 2 strokes a side playing 2 points a hole, low man, low team, and lost on the front nine and won on the back. Both sides were close matches to the end. It was a great day to play and we had a lot of fun. I'd been chipping very well lately, but it left me today, along with the rest of my game. Quail Chase is a course I should shoot in the mid 80's, so a score of 93 for me and a 90 for Mark is pretty bad.

Summer at it's best......

I picked this bouquet of flowers for you to start your Holiday Weekend! Some are from my yard and others from the yard next door. The upper right hand corner Lilly is called a "Stargazer" Lilly, and I think it's one of the prettiest flowers I've ever seen. Thought you'd enjoy it. Feel free to try and scratch and sniff, but I don't think it will work. The little red and yellow flowers are Erin's wildflowers.

Mr. Raccoon becomes a Hoosier....

When there's something strange, in the neighborhood, who ya gonna call? "Raccoon Busters"! Lately I've had a few strange events happening in my yard overnight. My squirrel traps have been found halfway across the yard, tomato plants with tomatoes knocked off. I thought it might be a raccoon. I was right! I'm going to take him for a little ride across the bridge and see how he likes being a Hoosier!
*Late update. I didn't take him to Indiana. I took him down to Shawnee GC because I was headed that way to drop off some golf balls and old clubs for their Youth Program.
